3D Secure : Secure on-line payment system

In 2001, Visa and MasterCard started up a secure on-line payment system : 3D-Secure

This system is to avoid fraud, by asking for payment identification on the web-site

During the transaction, the card owner is directed to their bank's website, and asked for data that can be checked

This security system is shown by one of the two following logos :
